Introduction to Flash:
These pages contain some introductory tutorials for Flash, using Flash MX. They can also be used with Flash MX 2004 as well as studio 8, though the software workspace layout may be slightly different in each version of Flash.For the latest flavour of Flash (now owned by ADOBE), go here. Remember, students are eligible for the academic version of the full software for a fraction of the retail price.

Flash is arguably the most well known of the animation tools available to the budding digital developer. It offers total control and versitility and is as useful for simple straightforward things like a nice image gallery or a nifty company logo as it is clever at doing very clever things with games or databases, for example.
Main things to know about Flash:
Flash consists of .fla files, which are the digital documents you work with to produce the finished animation files, which are called .swf files. Swf files can run in html (web)pages, or independently as .exe files.TERMS:
